Title: “Guarding the Heart: Cardiac Event Prevention in the Eastern Mediterranean”

Theme: Prevention of Cardiac Events Across Different Population Groups:
- Women
- High-Risk Groups (Hypertensive, Diabetic, Smokers, Obese)
- Healthy Individuals and Athletes

The session aims to facilitate a comprehensive and focused discussion on preventing cardiac events by addressing the unique needs and challenges of diverse population groups. It also seeks to raise awareness and share knowledge and best practices for cardiac event prevention.

Objectives:
1. Identify the burden of cardiac events in the region and best practices to reduce the risk.
2. To explore gender-specific risk factors for cardiovascular disease in women & discuss strategies for early detection and prevention of cardiac events in women.
3. Discuss the unique risk factors and challenges faced by hypertensive, diabetic, smokers, and obese individuals and promote lifestyle modifications and medical interventions that can mitigate cardiovascular risks in these populations
4. Highlight the importance of cardiovascular screening and risk assessment in healthy individuals and athletes.
5. Address the potential cardiac risks associated with intense physical activity and provide guidelines for safe exercise practices.
