Call for Collaboration to fight NCDs in Malawi - Global Week for Action on NCDs - "Time to Lead"

NCD Alliance Malawi conducted an awareness at Kasiya around Kabudula Community Hospital, in Lilongwe Malawi as part of the Global Week for Action on NCDs, under the theme "Time to Lead." The awareness emphasized the need for all stakeholders to take leadership in addressing the growing burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs).

Community members were provided services for blood pressure (BP) checks and glucose testing. A total of 142 people had their BP checked, with 36 showing elevated BP levels. The event also highlighted the importance of early detection and collective action in tackling NCDs.

A total of 600 people attended the awareness Global Week of Action event with 250 women and 350 men in total.
