From an overview session that comprised the introduction of the ALLIANCE, its vision and mission, highlights of ALLIANCE activities, and what the alliance does, which is: Raising Awareness, Advocacy, Access, and Accountability. The last segment of this introduction was the strategic direction of the CNCDA.

The introduction to the Policy Advocacy module highlighted the differences and similarities between advocacy and campaigning, theory of change and storytelling, and a step-by-step explanation of the word ADVOCATE.

The last session that was on Grant writing provided the fundraising cycle broken down, possible funders of #NCDs around the globe, and the dos and don'ts during the process. The sessions were facilitated by Mr. Ferdinant M. Sonyuy, Secretary General of the Alliance.

With several comments, questions, and answers, most expectations for Day 1 were met.
