This was the fourth Car-Free Road Day, an initiative the Ministry of Health plans to continue monthly. We are raising awareness and taking bold steps to fight non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and encourage healthier living. 

This aligns perfectly with the Global Week for Action on NCDs 2024, under the theme ‘Time to Lead’.  Now is the moment for governments and leaders to step up: fast-track NCD policies, break down siloes, mobilize investment, ensure accountability, and engage communities for integrated and impactful global health action. 

Together, we are shining a spotlight on the urgent need for leadership to promote healthier lifestyles and improve access to care for NCD patients.
