"Carb Counting Camp for Insulin Users, Mastering Diabetes Management"

Tanzania Non-Communicable Diseases Alliance (TANCDA) recognizes the key role of comprehensive diabetes management in enhancing the quality of life for patients with diabetes. A critical element of this management is understanding the relationship between carbohydrate intake and insulin, a subject often misunderstood or overlooked by patients. To address this gap, TANCDA has developed carbohydrate counting education materials tailored to the Tanzanian context. After thorough consultations with stakeholders; nurses, patients, and doctors the time has come to pilot these materials, ensuring their effectiveness in real world settings.
