Empowering Communities Through Medical Camps

The Lymphedema Warriors Association Uganda (LAWU) making significant strides in addressing the challenges of lymphedema in Uganda. However, the association relies on the generosity and collaboration of partners and sponsors to expand its reach and impact. Your support can directly contribute to funding medical camps, providing essential supplies, and ultimately transforming the lives of those affected by this condition. Three life changing medical camps in Uganda, scheduled for August and September 2025 to make a difference in the lives of underserved communities affected by neglected tropical diseases like lymphedema, elephantiasis, and podoconiosis.

The Urgent Need
Lymphedema, often caused by filarial infection or podoconiosis, leading to chronic swelling, disability, and social stigma. Limited healthcare access, lack of awareness, and insufficient expertise in lymphatic disease management exacerbate the problem. Our medical camps are essential to bridge this gap, bringing vital medical services directly to those who desperately need them.
