We are pleased to host a multi-stakeholder roundtable, hosted on the margins of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), to discuss the opportunities to implement the United Nation’s Political Declaration on NCDs and Mental Health specific to stroke care. Participants will explore the development and impact of national stroke action plans, financing and socioeconomic implications of stroke, and innovation in stroke diagnosis and treatment and recovery. 

With gains to be made across the care pathway and opportunities for significant progress in every resource setting, it is essential to ensure the potential to reduce the burden of stroke are adopted and integrated in health systems around the world. Through these objectives, this dialogue aims to support prioritization of stroke care in the NCD agendas and implement the UN Political Declaration by supporting country-led efforts in taking action on stroke.
