GhNCDA ON GW4A SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN

As part of the Global Week for Action on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), the Ghana
NCD Alliance is launching a social media campaign with the aim of raising awareness about the
pressing need to bridge the gap in care for NCD patients. This campaign seeks to engage various
key stakeholders, including governments, donors, international organizations, the private sector,
caregivers, and the general public.

To amplify our message, we have created concise audio-visual content and flyers with a
compelling call to action, moment for caring. These materials will be shared on our website
and social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and WhatsApp. The use of
short video clips in both English and Ghanaian languages allows us to connect with a broad
audience, including those who may have limited literacy.

Additionally, we intend to issue a press release outlining the objectives of the Global Week for
Action on NCDs, emphasizing the importance of addressing localized NCD challenges, and
promoting local solutions. This press release will be distributed to the local media for wider
publication.

Our primary focus is on engaging the youth, as they represent a significant proportion of the
online population. By targeting this demographic, we aim to instill the "moment for caring"
mantra in their consciousness, which will then be passed on to their family members and friends,
creating a ripple effect of awareness and advocacy.
