Media engagement and challenge towards the Global Week for Action on NCDs.

Social Media Challenge

In this activity, we will encourage individuals to engage with posts using the hashtags #ActOnNCDs and #LeadOnNCDs. Participants will submit their messages, which will be designed into posters framed with the GW4A theme and shared on social media platforms.

The top 3 posts with the highest engagement will each receive airtime tokens.

LeadOnNCDs Journalist Challenge

Journalists will be invited to write articles and other media coverage on NCDs, focusing on the theme "Time to Lead." Ahead of this on the 15th a training will be held with journalists presenting about the GW4A on NCDs and what it is about.

Best journalist in every of these following categories will also be awarded an airtime token.

  • Highest Reads: Article published on a website.
  • Most Viewed Video: YouTube video coverage on NCDs.
  • Most Viewed Radio/TV Talk: Broadcast talk that is uploaded to YouTube.

Finally we will have a TV show with the RNCDA Executive Director and the NCD Division Manager at RBC echoing the message of the GW4A on NCDs and mobilizing leaders.
