Burundi NCDA has been instrumental in developing a continuing public awareness on diabetes type 1 and hypertension in community at September 16, 2023. Through screening and health education campaign, Burundi NCDA has been dedicated to education and screened people on NCDs, especially DT1 and HTN. His aim was to increase awareness on DT1 and HTN issues in remote areas with limited access to NCD diagnosis and treatment. His aim was also to meaningfully engage People living with NCDs in advocacy to leaders to do more on NCDs and to achieve universal health coverage policy in Burundi. Two videos had be developed on DT1 by DT1 young girl and her mother and on Diabetes and HTN by a woman living disability.
