Raising public awareness to mobilize domestic resources for NCDs and mental health

In some societies, NCDs and their risk factors are not yet seen as priority concerns requiring public resources, while mental health conditions are further marked by stigma and discrimination. Yet, service development for NCDs and mental health will be primarily driven by domestic financing.  Patient and family associations, persons with lived experience, clinicians and the press have a crucial role to play to gain support from their fellow citizens.

In this third webinar of our series, we will hear testimonies from people with lived experience, clinicians and other advocates. We will discuss how they have leveraged testimonies, evidence, engagement with policy makers, campaign and media coverage to advance the cause for NCDs and mental health in their own countries.

The session will be conducted in English and interpreted simultaneously into Arabic, Chinese, French and Spanish. It will be interactive: you will be able to address your questions to the panelists.
