SGQ Cardio is non-profit dedicated to combating non-communicable diseases, particularly cardiovascular diseases and most importantly hypertension.
SGQ Cardio uses Mnemoneeds (Mnemonics for health education) to simplify preventive medicine steps for the general public.
HaLT Hypertension Campaign is the SGQ Cardio Campaign to HaLT (Prevent) Complications of Hypertension.
As part of the Global Week for Action on NCDs SGQ Cardio will;
- Share our ABCDE Mnemoneed for Preventing complications of hypertension (Adherence to Medications, Blood pressure Screening, Community Mobilization, Diet & Lifestyle + Drivers ( Other Risk factors of Cardiovascular diseases), Early Presentation (if complications unfortunately occur) ) in different formats, including images, texts and videos.
- Launch the HaLT Champions - inviting the general public to amplify ABDCDE above and join May Measurement Month Campaigns in their community
- Share a short story on hypertension on our Substack and social media handles.
