On March 6, 2025, Dr Bindu Menon Foundation will host an awareness program to tackle the growing burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), focusing on stroke prevention, in line with the NCD Alliance’s mission. The session will educate participants on identifying key NCD risk factors—such as hypertension, Diabetes, tobacco use, and physical inactivity—linked to stroke
The program will also introduce the Stroke Connect app, a mobile tool app that connects the user with healthcare professionals, paramedics, or first responders to designated hospitals in Nellore. The symptoms will be shared through mail and a dedicated number will be there which can be through the symptom sharing in case of stroke. A call to the number provided in the app will further help connect the patient and Apollo hospital and bridge the time gap.
