The Global Week for Action on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) 2025, coordinated by the Tanzania Non-Communicable Diseases Alliance (TANCDA), will focus on the theme "Time to Lead." This theme highlights the pressing need for leadership across all societal levels to tackle the rising burden of NCDs. The week will feature a series of activities including policy advocacy and physical fitness events. These initiatives aim to raise public awareness of the crucial role that leaders play in the prevention and control of NCDs.

The walk will be organized from Coco beach to Aga khan round about and back to Coco beach (10 km walk)

Objectives

• Increase public understanding of the role of leadership in the prevention and control of NCDs
• Encourage community participation in physical fitness events to highlight the importance of an active lifestyle in preventing NCDs.

By focusing on leadership, we can drive the systemic changes necessary to reduce the burden of NCDs in Tanzania and beyond
