Healthy India Alliance (India NCD Alliance), in collaboration with HRIDAY and the Indian Institute of Public Health–Hyderabad, hosted a virtual meeting with People with Lived Experience (PWLE) on 9 September 2025. The meeting aimed to share findings from an equity assessment on non-communicable diseases (NCDs) conducted in Delhi and Hyderabad, and to co-develop equity-focused advocacy messages.

Participants shared lived experiences of navigating the healthcare system, highlighting barriers such as stigma, financial challenges, limited awareness, and fragmented services, particularly for marginalized communities. Discussions emphasized the importance of community engagement, intersectoral collaboration, and people-centered care. Recommendations from the meeting will be incorporated into the National Health Equity Report on NCDs and used to strengthen advocacy at the upcoming national consultation.
