What is the Current Status of Chronic Diseases?
Join us as we focus on the global and Danish efforts against chronic diseases together with leading experts, politicians and organizations
Chronic diseases such as cancer, COPD, diabetes and heart disease are some of the biggest health challenges in the world, affecting millions of people. On 25 August, we invite you to a mini-conference at Kosmopol, where we, together with the WHO, NCD Alliance and Danish decision-makers, take a closer look at how we can ease the disease burden of chronic diseases, in line with the UN's vision.
Journalist Mette Walsted Vestergaard will lead the debate, which will be attended by Minister of the Interior and Health Sophie Løhde, CEO of Kræftens Bekæmpelse (Danish Cancer Society), Jesper Fisker, Director of Lungeforeningen, Ann Leistiko, CEO of Diabetesforeningen, Claus Richter and Director of Health & Life Science at Dansk Erhverv, Katrina Feilberg.
To give us an international insight into chronic diseases, special envoys for chronic respiratory diseases at World Health Organization, José Luis Castro, and CEO of NCD Alliance, Katie Dain, participate.
We provide an update on the development in Denmark, and discuss the goals of the UN's fourth high-level meeting (HLM4) on chronic diseases.
