World Heart Day 2023

Cardiovascular disease is the world’s number one killer, taking the lives of more than 20.5 million every year. The majority of these deaths happen in low- and middle-income countries.

World Heart Day (29 September) is a reminder to everyone around the world to take care of their hearts. This year’s campaign focuses on the essential step of knowing our hearts first. Because when we know more, we can take better care.

World Heart Federation Member organizations, schools, universities, NGOs, companies, and the vibrant cardiology community make World Heart Day a truly global celebration. You can join the campaign too: Download our resources, create a World Heart Day poster, take our quiz and help us spread the word!
