To everyone who participated in this year's campaign: thank you for helping to bring the 2026 Global Week for Action on NCDs to life.

The week opened with a World Tour of videos from members and supporters, taking us across regions and bringing voices and perspectives from throughout our global community. The extraordinary engagement we saw across the week, with more than 270 events and activities to date taking place worldwide, showed once again the strength, energy and commitment of the NCD movement.

At the heart of the campaign were the experiences of people living with NCDs. Lisa Mehmeti from Kosovo captured so powerfully why this work matters: 

“I live with an NCD. What I need is care I can reach, treatment I can support and a health system that listens to me.”

From the World Tour and the young voices featured in the newest series of NCD Diaries, to the practical resources, policy briefs and country case studies shared throughout the week, the campaign kept people and communities at its centre while focusing firmly on the solutions needed to turn commitments into action.

The postponement of the 3rd International Dialogue on Sustainable Financing for NCDs and Mental Health presented an unexpected challenge. Together, we turned it into an opportunity to deepen the campaign’s focus on financing and build momentum towards February 2027. The launch of the NCD Financing Tracker at the close of the week marks the next step on The Road to Manila, offering a growing picture of how countries are advancing action on NCD financing and inviting our global network to contribute further examples of progress and leadership.

We are deeply grateful for your commitment, energy and contribution. Whether you shared a story, organised an event, contributed your expertise, amplified the campaign or supported it in other ways, you played an important part in making this Global Week a success. Thank you for standing with us and continuing to act on NCDs. As the saying goes across the Arab world, one hand cannot clap. The extraordinary response to this year’s Global Week showed the power of our community acting together.
