The T1D Community Fund has announced that it will award grants to a diverse portfolio of CBOs to support people living with T1D to gain access to high-quality treatment or other forms of medical, social, economic, or emotional care. The fund will provide core support for direct-service organisations with a primary programmatic focus on Type 1 diabetes, or programme-specific support for T1D activities implemented by organisations with multiple programmatic focuses or a broader noncommunicable disease (NCD) strategy.

Typical awards are expected to range from US$25,000 to 40,000 per year. Grant terms will range from 1 to 2 years.

The T1D Community Fund seeks to advance:
  • The impact of CBOs working to improve the lives of people living with T1D,
  • Opportunities for collaboration between CBOs, and
  • Learning about needs, challenges, and opportunities to better support the T1D community in the future.
The deadline for applications is 23 September 2022. The request for proposals is available online.
