The conversation explores the urgent need to move beyond fragmented, disease-specific approaches towards integrated, people-centred health systems that can deliver Universal Health Coverage and better respond to the growing burden of NCDs and mental health conditions. To achieve this and build the international system that is fit for the future, civil society and affected communities need to have a say in its design.
