Earlier this year, three mental health advocates, Lucero Andaluz Llerena, Muskana Lamba, and Matthew Jackman, discussed the crucial role of a holistic view on mental health. They emphasised the importance of collaboration, the whole-of-society approach and the value of lived experience in creating and implementing mental health policies. Their message to world leaders ahead of this September's UN High-Level Meeting on NCDs and Mental Health is to ensure that people with lived experience, including youth, are included in co-designing solutions and time to lead is now.
