Investment in/prioritisation of data and surveillance
Malawi is integrating NCD data into its national health information system to strengthen routine monitoring and patient care. NCD data from electronic medical records are incorporated into DHIS2 every quarter, enabling national-level analysis alongside other health data. Integrated electronic medical records for HIV and NCDs also support real-time patient tracking, identification of missed clinic visits and longitudinal clinical information, helping health workers follow patients over time and strengthen continuity of care.
