Clear NCD spending targets
Saudi Arabia developed a costed investment case for NCD prevention and care, estimating that a package of cost-effective interventions would require US$7.2 billion (SAR 27.1 billion) over 15 years (2020–2034). The package covers measures including tobacco control, promoting healthy diets and physical activity, salt reduction, and clinical interventions for cardiovascular disease and diabetes. By clearly pricing its NCD priorities, Saudi Arabia has provided a concrete basis for planning and financing action on NCDs.
