World Cancer Congress

On 18-20 October 2022, the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) will rally the global cancer community in the capital of global health, Geneva, Switzerland for the World Cancer Congress.

UICC aspires to deliver an inspirational programme where learning and showcasing are closely intertwined with networking and best practice sharing.

Congress delegates have many opportunities to participate actively in the programme, including:
• Spotlight stage which will host inspirational Ted-Talk style presentations
• Interactive discussions in the “Meet the expert” forum hosted in the Global Village
• Roundtables facilitating small group discussions on a given topic
• Open discussions amongst a larger group of complementary key experts
• Pro-active and informal abstract group presentations

The programme includes several sessions that address the topic of Health Financing to help lower the burden of cancer and NCD’s.

UICC organises the World Cancer Congress every two years, each time taking the global event to a different UICC member country. Several thousand participants from more than 130 countries have attended the conferences in the past. They discussed the challenges and opportunities of the fight against cancer at the national, regional and international levels.

The 2022 edition of the World Cancer Congress is Co-Hosted by the Dutch Cancer Society (KWF), the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG), the International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP), the Nordic Cancer Union (NCU), the Norwegian Cancer Society (Kreftforeningen) and the Swedish Cancer Society (Cancerfonden).
