This year’s Global Week is an extension from last year and is built around the theme of Leadership. It will spotlight bold action, accountability, and equity, calling on governments to step up and deliver on their promises to prevent and control NCDs and promote mental health and well-being.
As the world prepares for a critical milestone in the NCD response, the Global Week will unite voices from across continents and communities to demand urgent progress. Advocacy activities are already gaining momentum, with organisations and individuals engaging in events, dialogues, and digital storytelling in every region. Like every year since the Global Week began, we have developed a plethora of resources for you to use and adapt.
At the heart of this year’s campaign is The Call to Lead, a collective rallying cry urging governments to fulfil their commitments and act decisively to reduce the burden of NCDs. The Call is open to endorsement by civil society organisations and individuals, amplifying the voices of people living with NCDs and mental health conditions.
In parallel, Leadership Capsules—a series of short, powerful videos—are being produced by advocates around the world. Each capsule shares a personal perspective on why leadership matters and what action is needed now to protect lives and improve health outcomes. These capsules are being widely shared on social media and highlighted across the NCD Alliance’s platforms in the lead-up to September.
Follow #LeadOnNCDs and #ActOnNCDs. Stay tuned for more updates, tools, and opportunities to get involved as we gear up for the biggest advocacy moment of the year—the HHLM4 on 25 September. Together, let’s make it clear: it’s time to lead on NCDs.
