Four priorities for NCD financing action

This tracker is a living picture of national and regional action across four priority areas. The icons give a snapshot of where action is taking place in each country. A missing icon or country does not mean that no action is taking place — only that it has not yet been assessed or documented.

Help us build a more complete picture by submitting examples of country or regional action. The results will be shared at the third International Dialogue on Sustainable Financing for NCDs and Mental Health in the Philippines in February 2027.

Clear NCD spending targets

Governments establish explicit budgetary targets and commitments to increase and sustain investment in NCD and mental health prevention and care.

Health-promoting fiscal policies

Governments use a whole-of-government approach to implement health-promoting fiscal policies that can generate public revenue while reducing consumption of health-harming products.

Lower NCD medicine and device costs

Governments use strategic pricing, purchasing and other access levers to lower the costs of medicines and medical devices and make NCD care more affordable.

Prioritisation of data and surveillance

Governments invest in data and surveillance to strengthen forecasting, inform decision-making and ensure resources are allocated effectively and equitably.
